Senior Legal Advisor

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law;
• Fluent in English (written and spoken);
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience (experience within large companies/group of companies and/or within construction or infrastructure fields may be a plus);
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and legal drafting skills;
• Strong knowledge of legal provisions, terms, concepts and principles within all relevant legal fields (knowledge of construction laws may be a plus);
• Strong knowledge of contract mechanisms, including international contracts (experience in drafting and negotiating FIDIC contracts may be a plus);
• Excellent ability to understand and work with concepts and principles from other disciplines (financial, technical, etc.);
• Excellent ability to understand company’s processes, to gather and convey the relevant information, to correctly identify and assess the encountered situations;
• Excellent ability to provide innovative approaches, to imagine out-of-the-box and most effective solutions, with the least possible resources involved;
• Excellent ability to work in an independent manner, requiring supervision only in decision stages.

Job Description

The role will be based on-site in Iași or Cluj.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for works, supply and services, with Romanian and international partners;
• Drafting and reviewing all types of legal documents received and issued by the company;
• Providing legal counsel to the other departments as per their requests;
• Providing legal counsel in a proactive manner throughout all phases of the projects;
• Monitoring legal risk and proposing preventive solutions;
• Assisting in claims, disputes, litigation and arbitration procedures;
• Helping with the improvement of company’s internal processes.
