About this Role
We are seeking a Cellular Engineering Engineer to design, engineer, and deliver radio cellular IT systems for European Vodafone markets. This role involves coverage analysis, defining technical requirements, creating guidelines, supporting new function development, and performing testing and acceptance related to radio network planning aspects.
What you will do
- Provide radio network planning guidelines focusing on radio propagation coverage and planning tools, aligned with NSA Design Standards.
- Use and manage radio planning tools (e.g., Atoll), maintain geo-databases, and ensure site database integrity.
- Perform radio propagation model tuning, link budget definition, and coverage analysis.Generate coverage reports, statistics, and studies to support long-range planning, business cases, and network evolution strategies.
- Coordinate cellular network development projects, ensuring timely delivery aligned with group guidelines.
Who you are
- Proficient in radio network planning tools and GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS).Skilled in radio propagation and knowledgeable in mobile telephony systems and standards (2G/3G/4G/5G-NR).
- Strong understanding of software lifecycle processes: development, testing, and acceptance.
- University degree in computer science, telecommunications, or equivalent.
- Ability to balance analysis, strategy definition, and execution effectively. Good awareness of broader technology aspects in telecommunications and ICT.
