  • secondary education in a technical field;
  • experience in managing small/medium-sized teams, with proven results;
  • leadership skills;
  • open-minded, positive nature, flexibility in thinking, rigor and proactivity;
  • computer operating knowledge of MS Office 365 package (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • availability to work in 3 shifts;
  • higher technical education (an advantage);
  • knowledge in the field of hydraulic and pneumatic drives (an advantage);
  • experience working with installations and equipment specific to the construction materials industry or heavy industry (an advantage);
  • ISCIR authorization for operating forklifts and using cranes with a capacity of up to 4 tons (an advantage).

Job Description

The position is open within the Production Department, Saint-Gobain Rigips, its occupant will carry out his/her activity within the Gypsum Board Factory in Turda.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • plan, organize and coordinate the exchange;
  • train and develop subordinate staff in accordance with the factory management strategy;
  • monitor and evaluate the performance of subordinate operators and implement their development actions;
  • ensure the required product quantities, on time and at the quality required by the standard;
  • facilitate communication between the management team and the shift operators in terms of strategy, organizational changes, operational decisions, but also suggestions and requests from employees;
  • prepare production and consumption reports;
  • encourage teamwork and collaboration between operators on the shift, between shifts and with the departments they interact with;
  • facilitate the improvement of productive activities in terms of optimizing tasks and jobs;
  • encourage and motivate subordinate staff to use World Class Manufacturing specific continuous improvement techniques and tools and provide support to them to focus on continuous improvement;
  • understand the industrial processes in the factory, the sources of possible losses and generate optimization proposals;
  • monitor autonomous maintenance activities carried out by productive personnel in terms of project implementation, scheduling and tracking the calendar of support activities;
  • manage non-conformities (mechanical, occupational safety, etc.) through specific World Class Manufacturing systems and monitor them from launch to closure and implementation;
  • analyze human errors produced in the production flow and identify improvement actions/projects aimed at eliminating the causes of their occurrence.
