Within an IFS Food certified quality and food safety management system, you ensure end-to-end quality control (reception–process–packaging–finished product) and manage self-control activities in the laboratory, ensuring, throughout the operational chain, compliance with specifications, traceability, management of non-conformities (NC) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), as well as maintaining auditable records.

Requirements

  • Studies: Food Industry Engineer (or similar).
  • Minimum 2 years in the food industry (QA/QC, production and/or laboratory).
  • Experience working in an audited and certified food safety management system (IFS Food, BRCGS, FSSC 22000/ISO 22000) and participation in internal audits; familiarity with IFS Food requirements is an advantage.
  • Excel/ERP: skills applied for reporting, records and traceability (QA workflows).

  • Raw material/packaging reception: visual and quantitative inspections, sensory/organoleptic evaluations, integrity, lotting and documentary compliance; decisions to accept, block (hold) or segregate (quarantine) batches, according to specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Flow and packaging control: labeling compliance (TDV, origin, batch, weight, barcode) and packaging integrity/tightness; monitoring of MAP parameters and routine calibration/metrological verification checks for control equipment (e.g. metal detectors, belt scales).
  • Production/warehouse monitoring: temperature/humidity; verification of compliance with the sanitation plan and related records.
  • Internal laboratory (self-control): sampling (reception/flow/finished product), management of counter-samples and registers; performing analyses according to plan (e.g.: humidity, aw, salt content, sanitation/allergens), including sending samples and monitoring results received from external laboratories.
  • QA documentation: development and periodic reviews of technical specifications and nutritional information/labeling; preparation of receipt reports and issuance of communications/notifications to the Procurement Department.
  • IFS Food: participation in internal audits and maintaining system compliance; document/record control, NC/CAPA management, traceability checks and withdrawal/recall exercises.
