REQUIREMENTS:
- Specialized studies: graduate of the Post-secondary School of Health or the Faculty of Midwives and Medical Assistants;
- Free practice authorization and malpractice insurance – valid documents;
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a general medical assistant in a surgical department in one of the following specialties: general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery;
- Excellent communication and relationship skills, empathy, orientation towards patient needs;
- Ability to work in a team, organize, adaptability, promptness and commitment to the assigned tasks;
- Positive and professional attitude in relationships with patients and colleagues;
- English language – intermediate level;
- MS Office knowledge – intermediate level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs medical procedures and treatments as recommended by a doctor;
- Participates, together with the doctor, in the patient’s medical education;
- Prepares the necessary instruments, equipment and assists the doctor during the effect of dressings and medical procedures;
- Monitors, evaluates, records and reports the evolution of patients’ health status;
- Takes samples and biological products for laboratory examination according to medical protocols;
- Administers medication and performs injectable treatments (intramuscular, intravenous, subcutaneous, intradermal) and vaccinations as recommended by the doctor;
- Records the consumption of materials and medications, procedures and medical maneuvers applied in the patient’s electronic record.
