INNIO is looking for skilled Field Service Technicians to join its service team in Romania. This role is ideal for candidates with a mechanical or electrical background who enjoy solving technical problems and working directly with customers.
As a Field Service Technician, you will install, inspect, maintain, and repair Jenbacher gas engines used in power generation. Your work will include routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, performing engine repairs, and supporting customers on-site. Since the position involves servicing equipment at customer locations, frequent travel across Romania is required.

Who Can Apply?
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience as an electrician, mechanic, automotive technician, marine technician, or a similar technical role.
- Previous experience working with reciprocating engines (preferred).
- Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Basic IT knowledge and strong technical understanding.
- PLC knowledge (an advantage).
- Good communication skills in both Romanian and English.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A willingness to travel frequently for customer service visits.
- A valid Category B driving licence.
Key Responsibilities
As a Field Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing scheduled maintenance on Jenbacher gas engines.
- Replacing filters, valves, and other engine components.
- Carrying out minor repairs and assisting with major engine overhauls.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
- Monitoring engine performance to help prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Preparing technical service reports after each customer visit.
- Managing spare parts and ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Working with third-party service providers when required.
- Completing job reports, timesheets, and safety documentation.
- Following all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures.
- Building strong relationships with customers by providing professional technical support.
