Distrigaz Sud Rețele operates the natural gas distribution network in 1,398 localities, within 20 counties in southern and central Romania: Argeș, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Ialomița, Ilfov, Olt, Prahova, Tulcea, Vâlcea, Vrancea, Teleorman and in the Municipality of Bucharest.
As a Cathodic Protection Installer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our natural gas distribution system.
Responsibilities:
- Daily carrying out gas leak detection routes on the underground distribution network;
- Use of the mobile laboratory and portable detection equipment on assigned routes;
- Interpreting detection data and reporting them correctly and in a timely manner;
- Documenting all findings in service orders upon return from the field;
- Initiating emergency procedures when gas concentrations exceed safety thresholds;
- Immediate notification of the coordinator when values exceed the allowed limits;
- Monitoring and reporting any anomalies observed along the pipeline route;
- Reporting third-party work or infrastructure problems in the safety zone;
- Verifying the accuracy of assigned route data, including sensitivity classification;
- Maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of detection equipment and allocated materials;
- Proposing measures to optimize routes and establishing corrective actions for field anomalies.
Experience, qualifications, knowledge and skills:
- You have completed secondary education and at least 3 years of experience in natural gas distribution. Or you have at least 10 classes and at least 5 years in natural gas distribution;
- You have a valid category B driving license;
- You work easily with your PC, tablet and Microsoft Office applications;
- You have experience with portable gas detection devices;
- You pay attention to details and correctly interpret field data;
- You can work under time pressure and react effectively in unforeseen situations;
- Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, for accurate reporting;
- ANRE authorization (EGIU and EGD) is an advantage;
- Minimum one year of experience in pipeline route verification (VSR) is a plus.
The activity involves daily travel on assigned routes in the distribution network.
