Job Description
The Operator VSR will be responsible for carrying out daily gas leak detection activities on assigned sections of the underground distribution network.
The role is mainly field-based and requires regular travel along designated routes. You will use mobile laboratories and portable gas detection equipment to identify possible leaks or abnormal gas concentrations.
Accurate reporting is an important part of the position. After completing field inspections, you will document your findings in service orders and immediately communicate serious safety concerns to the appropriate coordinator.
The job also requires you to react calmly and correctly when unexpected situations occur, particularly when gas concentrations exceed established safety limits.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:

Qualification

- Completed secondary education with at least 3 years of experience in natural gas distribution, or
- At least 10 years of schooling/classes with a minimum of 5 years of experience in natural gas distribution.
A valid Category B driving licence is also required because the position involves daily travel on assigned routes.
Education
The position requires candidates to have completed secondary education. Candidates with at least 10 classes of education may also qualify when they meet the higher experience requirement specified by the employer.
Additional technical qualifications related to natural gas distribution can be an advantage.
