Geodetic Engineer

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a geodetic engineer with experience in the field of engineering topography, with applicability in civil construction works but also in infrastructure works (railways, roads and bridges). The candidate will be responsible for the proper execution of the works, the main activities being the tracing and verification of the construction elements, using high-performance equipment (robotized total station, GPS base-rover and level) from Trimble.

Requirements:

• Higher education in the field of Geodesy.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering topography in civil construction projects.
• Solid knowledge and practical experience with total stations (knowledge and good use of Trimble equipment is an advantage).
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability for travel and field work.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Receives the geodetic network of the construction site and densifies the network in the activity area.
• Processes data, drawings and plans in pdf and dwg format.
• Prepare the plan for drawing.
• Plots drilling elements for geotechnical studies.
• Plots drilling elements for exhaustions and inclinometers.
• Draw special foundations: cast walls, box walls, columns.
• Draws excavation elevations and guides equipment for better execution.
• Draw the axes of the construction.
• Draw elements for the progressive stages of construction: leveling, foundation, vertical elements, slab above grade, concreting elevations, ramps, stairwells, elevator shafts, recesses, attics and other elements.
• Check the formwork before each concreting.
• Performs post-execution surveys and draws up plans for quality assessment.
• Calculates excavation/fill volume, including 3D modeling.
• Positions and checks the verticality of cranes.
• Draw dimensions and align the position of the formwork.
• Positions reinforcement and metal plates.
• Take measurements for facades.
