Responsibilities
- Coordinates the patient’s entire medical activity during dialysis sessions and adjusts the parameters and necessary medication;
- Monitors the progress of dialysis and validates protocols, completing medical documents for patient follow-up;
- Evaluates and adjusts peritoneal dialysis technique, including the efficiency of the method and clinical and paraclinical indications;
- Establishes special therapeutic regimens for peritoneal dialysis patients in particular situations (peritonitis, ultrafiltration failure);
- Prescribes, monitors and coordinates drug treatments and laboratory investigations for patients between dialysis sessions;
- Recommends hospitalizations and specialist consultations, prepares admission tickets and referrals for complications of chronic kidney disease;
- Prescribes and issues prescriptions and laboratory investigations within the scope of the specialty, respecting the exceptions related to dialysis service providers;
- Provides specialist consultations within the office.
Requirements
- Higher education in medicine, specialization in ICU, Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine ( diploma recognized by the College of Physicians in Romania, respectively by the Ministry of Labor and Education in Romania);
- The right to free practice, offered by the Romanian College of Physicians;
- Knowledge of Romanian legislation in the medical field;
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet);
- Communication skills, team spirit, empathy and patient orientation;
- Fluent knowledge of Romanian is mandatory, English is an advantage;
- Right to work on the territory of Romania – mandatory.
