Website Support & Maintenance Specialist (WordPress + Shopify) – Remote
We are seeking a talented Website Support & Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth functioning of our website, providing technical support, and implementing updates to enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily client support requests for WordPress and Shopify websites
- Update and swap out images, banners, and visual content across websites
- Make text and content changes as requested by clients (pages, blog posts, product descriptions)
- Fix bugs, layout issues, and broken elements quickly and reliably
- Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, theme issues, and display errors
- Perform regular maintenance tasks (updates, backups, security checks)
- Set up, configure and update plugins, apps, and simple page elements
- Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues about progress and solutions
- Document recurring issues and solutions for internal use
Qualifications
- Previous experience in website support and maintenance is a plus
- Solid hands-on experience with WordPress – mandatory! (content editing, plugins, page builders like Elementor or Divi)
- Basic working knowledge of Shopify (content updates, app management, basic theme edits)
- Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple support tickets and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setup
- Basic understanding of hosting, FTP, and DNS is a plus but not required
